Nice, popular lap, especially with local runners. Refreshments available, but not in the off-season. Entry possible, for example, at the brewery, at the Hotel Amsee or in the east of Waren.
It's getting increasingly difficult to discover something new. But today we managed it. We weren't familiar with Tiefwarensee 🧜🏻♀️. The circular trail was a bit monotonous at first, but then it got interesting. The weather was on our side again today🌞. The trail is easy to walk🚶🏻♂️🚶🏻.
And if the weather hadn't come quicker than predicted, we would have even arrived dry! 😅 But we didn't get nearly as wet as we thought we would! 🍀
Today we took the bus to Waren (unfortunately there are no trains running for a few weeks due to construction work 😏). From the train station we headed towards Tiefwarensee. As soon as we arrived at the lake, the first small snowflakes fell, but they quickly turned into a snowstorm. The icy wind whistled in our faces and the path became increasingly muddy... but turning back was not an option and after 1/2 of the way around it stopped 🙏. At the end of the lake I went through the small hill park on Mühlenberg - very beautiful!!!!👌. When I arrived in Waren, I strolled a little through the town and then headed back towards the train station. On the last kilometer it started to snow heavily again, the wind was icy and I was glad when I could get on the warm bus..... But it was a beautiful day 🤩👌❄️☃️🏞🥶
From the starting point "Weinbergschloss", an easy-to-walk path leads most of the way along the bank. A wonderful tour in every season.
Started at the port of Waren (by the way, there you can have an ice cream or eat fish next to all the hustle and bustle, boat charters and tourism) the tour went around the Tiefwarensee...
