Starting point for the shortened version of the Epic Trail in the direction of Filisur or in the opposite direction to the Sertig Valley. The mountain restaurant is cozy, plus a playground and petting zoo for the kids.

Trail Reviews

A. Villiger
July 18, 2024, MTB-Tour 18.07.2024: Davos-Rhinerhorn/Jatzmeder-Sertig Sand-Clavadel-Davos

Today's tour was quite demanding despite the manageable number of meters of elevation. The long S2 EpicTrail Jazmeder-Sertig/Sand goes up and down forever, especially in the lower half, and there is currently a lot of water and mud here, so I often had to dismount for short periods. There was also some oncoming traffic (the trail is now mainly ridden uphill in the opposite direction, although you also ride uphill a lot on the way down...). In addition to this trail, there are also quite a few other trail sections, mostly S1. And a very beautiful landscape. PS: Image caption follows.

Nice tour first up to the top station of the Rinerhornbahn, from there over to Aebirügg where the trail to the Walserhus Sertig begins. It was partly redesigned and separated from the hiking trail, well done.

Nice tour on the Rinerhorn further via Aebirügg to the Walserhus in the back of the Sertig. Few people, it was pleasant to drive. Temperature better than expected, only fresh at the beginning. The trail is beautiful, a lot is mobile, even if you are not the trail guru. S1 sometimes short S2

-hm with gondola -great views -varied S2 -Doable in this direction

The descent from Davos to the Rinnerhorn valley station is not exactly a blast, but the section of the Alps Epic Trail between Rinnerhorn and Sand is indescribably beautiful and an enjoyable S1 driven in this direction. From sand back to Davos via trails in the Sertig Valley - this is also highly recommended.
