A very beautiful, but also very strenuous, trail. 🥾 🥾. It's best to only hike the trails with sturdy shoes and hiking poles.
From the Tuftl Alm, you can admire the mountain fires. There's also a viewing platform. The climb over narrow, rooty forest paths was tough, but short – we reached the top after only 1 hour and 15 minutes. We ate and drank in peace and then headed up to the platform around 9:00 p.m. The mountain fires slowly start to light up around 9:30 p.m. Absolutely worth seeing! 🤩 Be sure to wear warm clothes, even if it's hot during the day! It cools down quite quickly at altitude. We stayed until about 11:00 p.m. and then started the return journey. The entire route was along the relatively flat, long road. Don't forget your headlamps!
To get in the mood for our renewed attempt on the Zugspitze, we visited the Tuftlalm again after our arrival - this year without pigs 🐷. Luckily no rain today, i.e. one day already successful. 👍
From Lermoos it goes over a steep path, difficult because it is wet and slippery. Past rocky cliffs to the vantage point with a view of the Zugspitze and Mieming Mountains. After a stop at the Tuftlalm and a hearty soup, it's back on the forest trails
Cool tour, but the Komoot app totally misled us.
