This route was planned by komoot.
Still a little under the weather, but still a little ride through the mud in the morning. Beautiful sunshine in the Duvenstedter Brook and the Höltigbaum was also great to ride. I brought my new Bryton 750SE with me, a real sat nav for once instead of simple breadcrumb guidance. Not bad for now, still 80 percent battery after 4 hours of driving. 👍 Only the display could be better, but you get used to it...
My current favorite route today, the other way around in wonderful winter weather. ❄️ Over the Wandse, Höltigbaum out to Bredenbeker Teich, Duvenstedter Brook and back over the Alsterlauf. Fully masked when the flu is subsiding and staying strictly in the aerobic zone. ☝️ I don't need to catch pneumonia again, I've had it before, it's not funny...
Waldemar Bonsels found his inspiration around Maya the Bee at Bredenbeker Pond. The family was ill and I wasn't quite fit either, so I set off on a relaxed tour in the footsteps of the famous bee. To find a comparison to the supposedly incomparable atmosphere of Bredenbeker Pond, I included a few other hotspots in the route. Once again, it's 75 percent of the finest gravel experience on paths and trails. The route has only a minimal amount of asphalt and is quite fun... 🤩 It starts at 8 a.m. up the Alsterlauf, which is beautifully covered in fog this morning at just 2 degrees. Inspired by the autumn pictures from @Jeannie, I also decide to take a lot of photos today and stop quite often. In Duvenstedter Brook I meet several nature photographers who do the same as me and try to get the deer roaring in the distance in the picture with long telephoto lenses. We continue via the Ammersbeker Niederung to the Bredenbeker Teich. There is a beautiful trail along the bank here and the atmosphere is truly unique. Not quite Maya the Bee's season, but I can feel at home here even in autumn. 😊 We continue into the Stellmoorer Tunneltal and the Höltigbaum nature reserve, where I come across several really nasty, insurmountable barriers against cyclists. I end up on an S3 trail for MTBs, which turns out not to be that difficult to ride. And that despite the mud! We head back to the city via the Wandse, today with a different, much better connection towards the city park. Near Alter Teichweg I come across a pretty funny, pretty narrow trail on the Osterbek, which I would not have expected in the middle of the city. An all-round successful tour that I will definitely do again in Maya the Bee's season. 👍
