Finally went for a walk again. 😊A mysterious walk.🌫️ Before walking we first went to Leersum and then parked the car at Amerongen. We started walking in the mist, but soon we saw the sun 🌞 carefully coming through and suddenly a beautiful blue sky. Only when we got closer to the car the mist had returned or maybe it …

✅ With 14 degrees and sunshine, it was wonderful spring weather. The Amerongse Bos is one of the oldest forests on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. It is located on the 69 meter high Amerongse Berg: the highest point of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug.

After a delicious lunch at Mas Montagne near the Amerongseberg, we took a lovely walk with Sebastiaan through the Amerongse woods. We also briefly visited the Lonely Oak. Unfortunately, we didn't stay dry, with even some thunder and lightning ⚡️⚡️. A hike with quite a bit of elevation gain. But definitely worth it.
