❄️ A little winter wonderland in the Jauerling-Wachau Nature Park before it's all over again 🤩☃️❄️ The Jauerling is currently showing itself in a particularly impressive way, with its deep wintery scenery 🥰
Today I escaped the fog and went for a short hike on the Jauerling mountain. At 959 meters, the Jauerling is the highest point in the Wachau region and usually offers a breathtaking view down into the Wachau valley along the Danube. 🌫 https://www.noetutgut.at/angebote/wanderwege/detail/Maria%20Laach%20am%20Jauerling
Escaped the fog 🌫 and spent a wonderful day at Jauerling 🌞🤩 The 959 m high Jauerling is the highest point in the Wachau and offers an impressive view down to the Wachau along the Danube.
The nature park connects the UNESCO World Heritage region of Wachau and the southern Waldviertel. Its centerpiece is the 960-meter-high Jauerling, the highest mountain along the entire Danube. https://www.naturpark-jauerling.at/
Just under 4km at 80m elevation. Lots of forest, no grazing cattle and there is a lot to see. Also suitable for older and fit dogs in wheelchairs; dogs (or children) in a stroller is generally possible (I also walked the route with Chinua last year), but the stroller should be suitable for off-road use and you should be fit yourself - the section between the terrace view and the false summit is sometimes a little strenuous (because there are roots in the forest and - depending on the direction - a little uphill/downhill). https://lieblingskoeter.at/at-noe-jauerling-gipfelrunde/
