Beautiful circular route with a challenging climb. At the summit you will be rewarded with a magnificent view over the Black Forest.
Unfortunately, today we found a rather weak path, the path itself runs close to the great Wildbach Tour, so our expectations were very high. Unfortunately, these were disappointed, the start is downhill on the access road, then it goes steeply uphill on a rather overgrown path through fir trees and raspberry bushes. After the first climb, unfortunately there are only boring and steep roads and meadow paths up to the Brend Tower. The stop at the mountain inn with a view of the valley from the terrace and delicious food at least compensates for part of the dull tour. Only the last 2-3km are on interesting paths again, but when we transition to the roads, a high level was created during the work on the path, which is difficult to overcome... We have completed the tour, but there will definitely not be a repeat....
The actual start of the "Zweitälerland Tour" is in Nonnenbachtal/Simonswald. For us, however, it is closer from the parking lot (Martinskapelle / Kolmenhof, Furtwangen). The short feeder path to KOLMENKREUZ extends the tour by almost 1 km. We skipped the branch to the Güntersfelsen (because we already know them) and walked the parallel path. But if you don't know the rocks yet, please take them with you :). The tour has steep passages, especially the descent into Nonnenbachtal is very steep, sticks are good here. Then of course the whole thing has to go up again.... but you will be rewarded with wonderful views at Kilben and the upper Nonnenbachhof 😍
Thanks for the invitation @Patrick Göser, it was a great and very entertaining hike with @Sergej K. and you. ➡️ Brend 1149m ➡️ Günterfelsen ➡️ Source of the Danube ➡️ Stop at Kolmerhof The end of the tour spoke volumes when we saw the cars and would have liked to do another lap. Thats how it is suppost to be! Thanks for making me laugh!
Today I decided to go for a hike. It was something that had been on my list for a long time. So we decided on the Brendtour. We changed the original route a little bit. Once we walked directly along the forest path after the Brendturm instead of the road and we also visited the Martinskapelle and the Danube/Breg spring. The Günterfelsen is also on the tour. All of these places are unknown to me up to now, the tour is varied, in some places it has an alpine character and today we even had a view of the Alps. https://www.schwarzwald-tourismus.info/touren/brend-tour-afa9f39d3a
