Brilliant tour. At the beginning you go briefly through the beautiful town of Oberprechtal, at the edge of the town you climb briefly on a meadow path and then you continue almost level above the valley on very beautiful paths up the valley. You climb down again and cross the Elz, then you go up again through very beautiful open landscape to the Huberfelsen, Prechtaler Schanze, Pfauenfelsen where you can enjoy fantastic views. Elztal, Kinzigtal..... The route goes back to Oberprechtal on very varied paths. Highly recommended.
Today we hiked to the Huber and Pfauenfelsen. The starting point was again Oberprechtal. We climbed higher along a meadow path at the edge of the forest over meadows and cow pastures. At the houses of "Vor dem Wittenbach" we came back into the valley. On the other side of the road we climbed uphill again. The meadow gently curved along the Wittenbächle. Isolated rocks in the grass, blooming flowers on the bank. Only the call of the buzzard and the quiet gurgling of the clear water could be heard. At the end of the valley we went up the slope in a steep zigzag. With our hearts pounding we reached the Huberfelsen. The Huberfelsen peeks out over the treetops like a tower. We leaned on the railing and looked: to the west over the Wittenbach valley into the Elztal, to the east through the Steinenbach valley to the Gutachtal. Everyday life is a long way away. We continued to the Prechtaler Schanze, the highest point of the tour. Only old stone walls remain. To the left and right, numerous hills and mountain tops disappear in the haze. At the Pfauenfelsen with the new Pfauenkreuz we stood as if on a pulpit and enjoyed what was probably the most beautiful view of the tour down into the long stretch of the Elztal. Then we went down into the valley with the spring meadows of the Lampertsbach and through the magical sea of rocks in the forest. It wasn't long before we were back in the village. A wonderful tour, mostly through shady forests at 33 degrees. We'd do it again anytime! Simply great. 😊
Today we were on the Oberprechtaler Felsenweg again. It was dressed in its beautiful winter dress and it was another wonderful day in the snow. At times we walked along narrow, rooty paths, then again along wider forest paths, always with beautiful views, including at the Huberfelsen. We were only able to start walking relatively late, but finally made it back to the car with the last light of day. The start and finish of this tour are in the center of the village of Oberprechtal.
Today on the road with my two girls......... that was a very funny round 😊 This tour is part of the official Zweitälerland hikes. To be honest, I'm a bit torn about the rating. There are beautiful sections with fantastic paths but also very boring and longer forest highways. The tour is not really promising, although there are some beautiful views. I wouldn't necessarily describe the round as a real rock tour, even if you pass the Huberfelsen.......... but the whole thing doesn't make it a rock tour for me. All in all, not a spectacular tour, but you can definitely walk it.
I've been wanting to do the rock tour from Elzach to Oberprechtal for a while. A very nice tour with lots of meadow and forest paths. A few wide forest paths and few asphalt roads. Always beautiful views of the Black Forest. From the Hubertusfelsen you have a wonderful panoramic view. Unfortunately it was drizzling there. So the distant view was somewhat limited. Conclusion: The tour can definitely be recommended. It felt good in the fresh air. 🤗
Very nice tour, beautiful view, works well in sunny weather because there are also shady paths 😃
A beautiful tour that fully deserves the name quality hiking trail. Beautiful to walk, simply fantastic. And there are benches everywhere to rest on with beautiful views 👍🤩🥾😎☀️
Today I hiked the Felsenweg in Oberprechtal. A very nice circular tour on great paths, hardly any asphalt, has a few very impressive climbs, but the view from the Prechtaler Schanze makes up for all the effort🤩

Fantastic tour! Now, in mid-May, the yellow brooms are blooming! That gives the already beautiful tour a special kick!
