Today I only decided where to go once I was already on the road. Looking south, the sky looked brighter than looking north. So, off I went to @Kinzigtal Schwarzwald. I drove there until there was a moment when the sun peeked through the clouds. Then, in Gutach, I briefly pulled over to the side of the road and checked the @Schwarzwald Tourismus app to see what it had to offer. Rocks always sound appealing, so I chose the Hornberg Rock Trail. So, off I went to the Gesundbrunnen hiking parking lot near Hornberg and off I went. The trails were great, there are many viewpoints with benches, and the rocks offer beautiful views over the valleys and peaks. A nicely laid-out circular route.
A truly fantastic hike in stunning natural surroundings. A beautiful walk... almost entirely on root-covered and mountain paths. I love it... I didn't see a soul on a weekday; it's probably different on the weekend... You can easily extend the hike to cover the entire day. There are plenty of benches and other wonderful "spots of earth" that invite you to linger. Grin!
Beautiful little hike on mostly small hiking trails. Only at the end about 600m of "forest highway"...
Wonderful trail, only the first 800m on a forestry path, then narrow and rocky, but never alpine (as some trail signs would have us believe 😉)
