Ridge hike Jakobshorn - Jatzhorn - Tällifurgga - Sertig

After breakfast we decide to do another tour today. The sky is heavily clouded, but the weather conditions appear to be stable. It's supposed to rain later in the afternoon. We take the Postbus to Davos (journey with a guest card) and take the cable car up to the Jakobshorn - with one change in Jschalp. From the station we walk the short distance up to the summit (2590 m). We have a good view of the cloud-covered mountains, in the north-east the mountains are clearly visible, including the Casanna above Klosters. We can follow yesterday's tour on the Parsenn Panoramaweg on the opposite slope. To the southeast, our target direction, the clouds hang lower and fill in the upper part of the valleys. The turquoise, small Stadlersee stands out from the landscape Today's hike takes us over the Jatzhorn (2682 m), to the Tällifurgga yoke (2568 m) and down to Sertig Dörfli (1861 m) in the Sertig valley. We don't have to climb many meters in altitude, but the hike is demanding and exposed in parts, with a lot of ups and downs on the almost perfectly positioned path on the ridge above the two valleys, Dischmatal and Sertigtal. We enjoy the tour and feel isolated from the outside world at high altitude, no other hikers chose this route today. The path passes below the Witihüreli rock (2634 m), the eastern slope drops steeply here. Here we see a lacquer-black alpine salamander sitting motionless at the edge of the path. At Tällifurgga you have the option of descending into both valleys via marked paths. As planned, we go west in Sertig Valley across meadows and pastures with horses and cows. The damp slope lets heather bloom in parts. On the middle slope we meet the main path, a "direct" connection from the Jakobshorn mountain station to Sertig Dörfli. Here, hikers and bikers are guided along parallel trails and with appropriate signage along the slope and down into the valley - an interesting but complex approach.
