This route was planned by komoot.
At 5:00 p.m., there were about twenty of us at the start, at the entrance to Darcy Park, of this Graviers de nuit, imagined by Pierre-Charles. And gift distribution before we start: a Komoot buff. So cool! A nice route, well calibrated for night gravel. Something to warm us up first, with the Combe Serpent - where I very quickly find myself far behind the group (pleasure to see the red lights jumping or meandering further ahead) and the climb up to Carmel. The ground is frozen, tiny stars shining on the ground in the beams of light from my lighting, creaking or squealing under my tires - it's beautiful, it's enchanting. It also slips, or rather it skids on the track that leads to the Chamerey pension. Careful descent on Clémencey (I didn't take the time to stop to plug in my helmet light, too cold): I arrived freezing, I had forgotten to close my jacket. Feet and fingers no longer have sensitivity. I stop under a lamp in the village - and do what I should have done before getting off! Pierre-Charles is waiting for me, we make the journey to Leuzeu together - the promise of fire, roasted chestnuts, and mulled wine prepared by Victor motivates me. Magnificent, the scene at Leuzeu, this stone hamlet in the middle of the forest lit by a big fire, the bicycles, their pilots around the fire and the table under the awning, The noise of the conversations, the exclamations and the laughter, the crackling of fire in the dark night, the marvel of a warm humanity. A huge thank you to Pierre-Charles and Victor for this fabulous gift. I'm leaving very quickly, the first in fact I think, I'm very cold, and I know that the ground is descending to Fleurey, I can't wait to have completed this portion. And then, I really like being alone on my bike at night. Arrival in Dijon: the streets are deserted or almost, I remember that there is France / England - rue de la Liberté, I hear horns, so France must have won.
