This route was planned by komoot.
A brilliant circular hike across the alpine landscape! You start in Warth, either by cable car or, if you are more experienced, you can walk straight away! Above you go over very different vegetation towards the Körbersee (awarded one of the most beautiful lines in Austria)! There are nice opportunities to stop off on the tour! Absolutely not recommended !!!!
Finally, ☀️ sunshine and a perfect day. The route was great, although there were a few challenges, but that's part of being in the mountains ⛰️. Oh yes, I don't want to forget, komoot did what it was supposed to.
Today was a dream day! I took the bus back to Warth early in the morning to take the chairlift up into the mountains! The ride was still quite foggy, but then the skies cleared, and we had a wonderful day with truly beautiful views!
Today we hiked from Steffis Alpe to Körbersee. We took the train up and at the top we followed the signs along many panoramic paths. The scenery was unique, there were always small and very small lakes along the way. There were lots of marmots on the way, some of them unafraid and very curious, close to the path. There were also lots of meadow flowers and herbs in full bloom. Then the raised bog with the stone sea is something special, the paths here are just as we love them. And always different views😍 There was a lot going on at Körbersee itself, how could it be otherwise, in the award-winning, most beautiful place in Austria. We treated ourselves to a cool Radler there and then continued towards Warth. We passed the Kalbelesee, which is also very beautiful to look at, but unfortunately it is close to the road and lots of motorcyclists spoil our fun with their noise. We quickly moved on and walked the rest of the way down to Warth on the old salt path. This path is also very beautiful with great views.
Nice not so difficult walk. Try the small paths instead of the wide tourist wrg
The slightly longer way from the top down to the Körbersee is recommended.
Today we hiked in cold, wet weather from the Steffisalp mountain station to the "most beautiful place in Austria" at Körbersee. Is this superlative justified? 🤷The clouds were so low that we couldn't see much. The return trip took us along the Old Salt Road at the Hochtannberg Pass back to Warth.
