This route was planned by komoot.
We chose the Pfaffendorf hiking car park as the starting point for this tour. Here we park the Dacia Duster and take our bikes from the roof rack. This starting point turned out to be lucky, because after the tour we discovered the provision machine there and learned to love it. But before that we went on a wonderful tour, which was completely different to the side north of the Elbe that we had already explored in the previous days. First, to warm up, we walked quite steeply along a dirt road above Pfaffendorf towards a perfect view over Königstein and Pfaffenstein. This was followed by a really fun descent down to Königstein, where you have to go down once or twice because of the stairs. But we're on an adventure tour, so that's completely ok. From Königstein we continue along the Elbe on a fast cycle path before we turn off to Naundorf and take a short detour up and down back towards Königstein. Then it's off to the highest climb of the day, which leads over wonderfully little-used roads through a beautiful forest towards Cunnersdorf. Between Gohrisch and Papststein the path then takes us through the village of Gohrisch and ultimately downhill back to the starting point in Pfaffendorf. Here we finally treat ourselves to the delicacies from the local provision machine before @Benni Grams and I part ways again. Benni is lucky enough to be able to drive back in the Dacia Duster, which accompanied us the whole time through Saxon Switzerland. We will see each other again soon for another sporting challenge. I'm looking forward to it!
