From the Engalm (Karwendel Nature Park) Via the Panoramaweg to the Binsalm. From there via the Witschaftsweg back to the Engalm and car park. Prerequisite mountain boots, physical condition and sure-footedness.
Today we took the hiking bus from Lenggries to the alpine village of Eng at the large Ahornboden. From the bus stop we climbed steeply up to the Binsalm immediately after arriving. After stopping at this rustic alpine pasture, we continued on the high trail. Unfortunately, the weather meant we didn't have such a great view of the Karwendel Mountains. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed the view and the peace and quiet, as we were pretty much alone. The descent to the Engalm was a little difficult because the path was quite steep, muddy and therefore often very slippery. I bought some of the good Eggalm cheese in the cheese shop and then went back to the bus. A beautiful hike that fit exactly in time until the next rain shower. The view of the many maple trees also really impressed me.
Today was a beautiful day, in all stages. As soon as I approached the hiking area, I would have liked to have stopped to enjoy nature. Along the Isar in the direction of Vorderriss and in Austria in the direction of Hinterriss, on the respective toll roads you drive through a nature reserve, just beautiful. 🥰 Arrived at the big Ahornboden, the amazement continued. A beautiful hiking area that I can only recommend. I will definitely go again. The autumn colors and the sun have added a touch to it.
The large Ahornboden in the Karwendel Mountains is a real highlight, especially in autumn. Because when the leaves change color it is a beautiful spectacle of nature. Now the first snow came. The panorama was unique. We took the panoramic path up to Binsalm. We had a delicious meal there and then walked back down. A great day with my cousin.
Today I was in the Eng, the valley from Vorderriss to the Engalm, where there are countless maple trees, some of which are hundreds of years old. I was fascinated by this blaze of color, the maple shone so brightly in the sun, an incredible play of colors. I hiked up to Binsalm and along narrow paths back into the valley. Experiencing autumn in the Eng was one of the main reasons for my vacation now... it was wonderful, despite the altitude and mileage from old aunt Komoot🚶🏼♀️🐕🥾🌞🍁 🍂
We couldn't miss this natural spectacle. Autumn at the big Ahornboden 😍🍁🍁🍁. What a treat for the eyes 👀😃. Even the Sylvenstein reservoir was beautiful to look at in the rising morning fog 😶🌫️, so that we had to stop several times and take pictures 🤳 on the way to Ahornboden. At some point we actually made it and what should I write, I think the pictures speak for themselves 🍁🥰🍁. The weather god was also very kind to us 🌤😎 and gave us fantastic views on our hike along the panorama trail 🥾🥾🎒 🧐😍🏔🍂🍁🌳🌲.
The Great Maple Forest is a landscape that is unique in the entire Alpine region. Our gentle tour to the Binsalm opens up new perspectives on this natural jewel and the peaks towering all around on short and easy paths. Author's tip A short but worthwhile pleasure tour with spectacular views of towering rock faces and gnarled sycamore trees that are up to 600 years old! Here you can take your time and take in the panorama to the full. The hike is available for free download with an integrated timetable at www.karwendel.org/anreise
The route is not for smaller children! As well as for small dogs. Because it is unpaved and requires a very high level of sure-footedness.
