This Tour crosses the Bacu Goloritzé, a crowded gorge during the summer. The trail is well-trodden and easy to follow. However, consider the elevation gain on the way back. Since there are no springs along the route, it is essential to bring an adequate amount of water, especially in the summer months.
Access to the beach is regulated by the municipality of Baunei and requires a ticket, which can be purchased at the start of the path.
Starting from Su Porteddu, go through the gate and, past the ticket office, take the clearly visible path. The track climbs up to pass a saddle at 470 metres, from which you can already enjoy a splendid view of the sea of Cala Goloritzé.
The path then begins to descend with a constant difference in altitude. You will find some smaller branches, among which there are links to the famous Selvaggio Blu hiking route. Crossing an impressive natural arch, you pass near the rocky pinnacle of Aguglia di Goloritzé, a popular climbing destination throughout Europe. After this spectacular natural monument, a few steep meters separate you from the wonderful Cala Goloritzé.
The return follows the same path, but it is important to remember that you will have to face 450 meters of altitude difference uphill.

They say this is the most beautiful beach in Sardinia. I found it beautiful... like so many beaches here. White sand, blue sea, and sunshine. What more could you want? The approach with the camper was very steep. The walk down from 470 meters to 0 is easily doable in an hour. Many climbers ventured up the promontory. 🙏🙏🙏 The climb back was completed in 90 minutes, and then we had coffee. 👍👍👍
Great, but somewhat strenuous hike to the dream beach. Make sure you take plenty of water and food with you, there is nothing
Today, after about 70 meters of altitude, we went down to a really beautiful beach for swimming. Then we went back again, which was challenging. About 25 years ago I somehow got there differently. In any case, I didn't have to pay a 6 euro travel fee for the sweaty affair back then
Let's go from Golgo (Baunei). Parking is free. From 7:30 a.m., get your ticket at the counter or reserve it online. €6 per person. Number of guests are limited! Drink a delicious espresso at the Golgo Bar beforehand and the adventure can begin. The view alone is worth the money. Arrived at the bottom of Cala Goloritze beach, it is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world 👍😍. It's definitely worth it! 💪🏖🇮🇹 Fantastically beautiful! 👍👍
My most challenging tour in many years. The scenery is stunning, and so is the sea. And again, many meters of elevation gain in rugged terrain in 36-degree heat. I booked preseason. It's usually 25 degrees here in early June. That's it for Sardinia. I've now moved to Brandenburg, no longer in temperatures above 30 degrees.
It is best to reserve in advance! Limited ti Ticks! Take enough food with you and don't pick the hottest weather. Otherwise very nice and recommended! The way back is very exhausting :-)
The most beautiful beach in the world ‼️‼️ ... so expectations were pretty high 😂😂 Since Cala Goloritzé won the "#1 in the world" award in 2025, the entrance fee is obviously easy to market 😆. Getting a ticket for the beach is harder than booking a ticket for a top act at Eventim. Sales start three days in advance ... in the middle of the night 😝 At midnight, the crowds rush for the 250 available tickets 😱 ... and at 12:03 AM!!!! 247 tickets had already been sold 🤣🤣 Luckily, Alena managed to snag 4 tickets for us in just a few seconds... cheers to the quick fingers of the young people 🥳🥳🥳 From Baunei, we drove up many switchbacks and over a dusty gravel road to the parking lot. From here, a great hiking trail leads down into the bay. The beach is great, but not particularly big, full of rocks and pebbles (no sand 🫣). But the water is gorgeous, turquoise blue, clear, and today with a nice surf. The bay is (luckily 😅) "cordoned off" to the sea, and countless excursion boats are moored in front of it 🙈 That's where all the vacationers who didn't get tickets are on it 🥳 Conclusion: The hike down here and back up was great ... and the beach is pretty, but is it the most beautiful in the world? Oh well... 🙂
Yes, it's a dream - the rock needle and the bathing bay. But the path is rocky and hot. Many parts of the path would be covered with coarse gravel - this makes the affected passages bumpier. But in any case a must - at high temperatures it is advisable to avoid the midday heat. And be careful: in the bay near the rocks - danger of falling rocks! If you swim out a bit, you will be rewarded with a view of a rock arch protruding into the water. In the Rother hiking guide (Tour 30) this NaTour is described as a "popular gorge hike to the most beautiful rock needle in Sardinia", and rightly so! The route is easy to see, but also very gravelly and rocky! An absolute must: final stop in Su Porteddo, not only delicious but also very idyllic. If you have time, you should take a look around the area around As Piscinas. These are small ponds that donkeys, cows with their calves and the imposing bull like to visit. There is also a very beautiful flora to admire here. The same should apply to the entire Su Golgi plateau, which we didn't look at in detail - it was just too hot!

This hike was quite strenuous due to temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius. Nevertheless, the extraordinary natural surroundings there were an absolute experience.
