Hiking

Idyll, enjoyment and art - on this tour your heart will leap for joy, because picturesque eye-catchers await you in both Bad Nenndorf and in the Deister. Note that if you do the complete circuit and start in Bad Nenndorf, you have almost 13 kilometers ahead of you. If you take the Deister hiking trail from Cecilienhöhe, it is six kilometers. You should have a good level of fitness for the complete circuit, 270 meters of elevation gain must be mastered.

The two kilometers from the spa park to Cecilienhöhe reward you with impressive sights such as a small castle, fountains and fantastic panoramic views. From Cecilienhöhe you then follow the circular hiking trail, which is marked by posts with a yellow emblem.

Some climbs will get your pulse racing, but you have the opportunity to recharge your batteries in several restaurants along the route - the forest restaurants "Teufelsbrücke", "Deister Alm" and "Mooshütte" offer delicacies for small and large appetites. Let your gaze wander from the Bantorfer Höhe towards the Steinhuder Meer and listen to the birdsong on the way back to the starting point Cecilienhöhe or the train station in Bad Nenndorf.

Very nice inn with a rustic atmosphere. The food tastes good. Since May 1st, 2016 there has also been a stamping point for the Deister hiking badge here. The hiking pass is available free of charge in the Mooshütte.

March 2, 2025,Tag 60. Gartenkunst und Waldeslust – Rundwanderweg durch den Kurpark in den Deister
Today I went to the Deister to collect stamps. After the Bad Nenndorf spa park I first sneaked through the construction sites. On the way back I went around the outside. After I crossed under the highway I went into the forest. In the hut at the Devil's Bridge I got stamp number 10. I put it in a book …

Today I had to import the planned tour again. Mobile phone 📱 GPS 📡 in between suspected me to be somewhere else 🤷‍♂️. It's not possible at all 😄.
Visited the three northern Deister huts (Mooshütte 🏡, Deister Alm 🏡 and Teufelsbrücke 🏡) with a buddy today, the start was in Bad Nenndorf. Something was eaten in the Deister Alm …

Today, we took a leisurely stroll through the Deister Mountains. We passed the Teufelsbrücke (Devil's Bridge), the Deister Alm (Deister Alm), and the Mooshütte (Mooshütte).

PS: The spa gardens are closed. Construction work is underway. Just like the B65, where they're building a new pedestrian and cycle bridge. So, we improvised a bit and deviated from the plan.

Well, we had the car for a few kilometers 😚

A beautiful circular hike from Bad Nenndorf through the Deister. Past the Süntelbuchen, on to the Belvedere Tower and over the Teufelsbrücke.

On this hot Wednesday we went from the train station in Bad Nenndorf with a detour via the northern Deister to Bantorf. It was wonderful!

We had lunch in the Mooshütte, which was quite busy. In contrast, the other bars we passed were empty.

Today we went back to the Deister after a long time. With tea, gingerbread and Spekulatius we went from Bad Nenndorf to the Belvedereturm and back over Teufelsbrücke, Bantorfer Höhe and Mooshütte.
We brought in the missing 2.3 km to door 14 on an extra lap through the Kurpark and Süntelbuchenallee.

Today my popular Power Walk series 🤫 led over the LaGa 🪻 and the bridge party 🌉🥳, which took place today, into the Deister ⛰️⛰️ up to the Teufelsbrücke (Devil's Bridge) 😈🌉.

I'm glad that this is now possible again with the start of the LaGa. At the bridge party, however, I knew... no one 😂. Surely all visitors from …
