Hiking
A fascinating blend of culture and nature awaits you on the approximately seven and a half kilometer long Hohentwieler premium hiking trail. Start at the parking lot or the bus stop at the Hohentwieler Information Center and explore the imposing fortress ruins that have watched over Singen for over a millennium. Enjoy spectacular views of the volcanic landscape of the Hegau, Lake Constance, and the Alps.
Passing grazing flocks of sheep and goats, you reach the Volcano Trail with its unique flora and fauna. Wall lizards bask in the sun while peregrine falcons circle high above you.
Surrounded by Germany's highest vineyard landscape and the primeval forest of the Hohentwiel, you will experience unique moments. After a break at the Hotel Restaurant Hohentwiel with local specialties, you will continue your tour. The trail circles the proud Hohentwiel and offers relaxing moments on the sky lounger with panoramic views. Buy your entrance ticket to the fortress ruins in advance to experience the full cultural heritage of this hike.
