On the Bekau Tour, you'll stop at some of the most beautiful natural and cultural sites around Itzehoe. The start and finish point at Itzehoe Town Hall is easily accessible by public transport, making the tour particularly convenient for those just arriving.
Right at the beginning, the St. Laurentii Church, with its impressive brick architecture and almost 80-meter-high tower, is the first stop. A few kilometers further, you'll cross the picturesque Bekau River and reach a small, shady rest area.
The tour continues to the Muldsberg Clay Pit, which today presents itself as an idyllic natural paradise. Before the tour takes you back to the city, a particularly well-maintained natural highlight awaits you: Prinzesshof Park. Here, you can push your bike for a few meters to leisurely explore the listed park and the ensemble of the District Museum, Coachman's House, and St. Laurentii Church. You'll find places to stop for refreshments, especially in Itzehoe; it's recommended to bring your own food along the way.
