Yes, you need to be sure-footed here! Where the Sieg has carved its way into the rock in Dattenfeld, you walk along a narrow path on a steep slope. During the tour, you meander along other great single trails to the downer in the Kurparkcafé by the river.

My conclusion in advance: On this tour, the "Natursteig Sieg" has certainly shown itself from its most beautiful side! 👌😃 Again and again you run up and down on great single trails, there are always fantastic views of the Siegtal and the surrounding area. I would like to recommend this trail to everyone who particularly appreciates hiking close to nature! 👍 Every now and then climbing over fallen trees or around and avoiding a muddy passage is of course also part of the natural trail ... 😉. It should not be forgotten that the natural trail requires sturdy footwear and appropriate surefootedness in order to safely master the sometimes crisp, slippery ascents and descents and some exposed sections of the path! Now in autumn there is also the fact that the route in the forest is sometimes a bit more difficult due to the freshly fallen leaves 🙄 - the waymarks on the trees help in case of doubt to get back on the right path ... Since I traveled to and from the city by public transport, I have adapted the following tour template accordingly. The start and finish point of this tour is the train station in Herchen a. d. Victory (Gem. Windeck). 🚊 +++ +++ +++ +++ +++ +++ +++ +++ +++ +++ https://naturregion-sieg.de/tour/runde-natursteig-sieg-pur *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** The combination of stages 6 and 7 is a highlight for fans of the Natursteig Sieg! *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** "A varied round with healing wells, healing wells path, philosopher's path, the 24 hairpin bends into Ohmbach valley, floodplain path, great views and a crisp final climb." TOUR PROFILE • Promising start of the round with a view over the Sieg slopes of the Siebengebirge • Adventurous route over many narrow paths, otherwise bank, forest and meadow paths • The healing fountain initially reached promises the end of all eye ailments • It goes steeply uphill to Kohlberg, from there back towards the hiking car park you have another great view TIP • Detour to the Kurpark Herchen and the Siegtaldom in Dattenfeld are worthwhile "On this round, parts of stages 6 and 7 of the" Natursteig Sieg "- with an access path from the Saal hiking car park - can be combined into a 16 km long circular path. The start is the Saal hiking car park The round starts promisingly with a view over the Sieg slopes of the Siebengebirge. Follow stage 6 towards Herchen. Refresh at the beautiful spring, which is said to have healing properties. A wonderful path then winds its way through light deciduous forest back towards Herchen. Here Follow stage 7 in the direction of Dattenfeld. First on the Philosophenweg in direct proximity to Sieg, then up a wide, partly wooded height and later again steeply down to Sieg. In narrow bends, almost 80 meters in altitude are overcome over a distance of about 200 m! The idyllic Siegauen around Hoppengarten line the hike. For a short time you have to part from the view of the river, it goes up to the Auenberg n paths through deciduous forest down to Übersetzig and back to the Siegufer. Here a fantastic path winds gently up and down above the river and offers a touch of adventure. Before entering Dreisel, the yellow marking leads back to the Saal hiking car park. "
Yes, surefootedness is required here! Where the Sieg has carved its way into the rock in Dattenfeld, you walk along a narrow path on a steep slope. During the tour, more great single trails meander through to the downer in the Kurparkcafé by the river. And this is how you get out: Herchen (Windeck) train station, S 12 / S 19 / RE 9
The nature trails through the forest were especially enjoyable. In wet conditions and on the steep climbs, a certain degree of surefootedness is required.
Carnival or hiking 🤔 Since I've been working a lot recently and there are always people around me, I decided on the silence of the awakening spring forest. The new ones 🥾🥾 have also been in the closet for several weeks and need to be broken in. First of all, they fit perfectly, I seem to have normal feet 🤭 I planned the tour freely, partly following the Siegsteig. Lots of really beautiful forest paths, but somehow I have no talent for capturing the atmosphere😚 The path in the third picture went downhill quite steeply, then my knees sometimes complain 😬 I also found mountain bike tracks here, how do you get down there, for me that would end with a huge ouch 🙈. The last picture actually shows a wonderful forest path, but many trees will probably not bloom this spring 🙄 A beautiful day, I think I made the right decision 😃
Pure nature 💚 and lots of sun ☀️ in our luggage we went on a 16 km long circular hike today - the "Natursteig pur" adventure trail. Because this stage connects stage 6 and stage 7 of the Natursteig Sieg. ⚠️There is a detour just before Dattenfeld. .
