Parking is no longer allowed in Malga mare, the departure starts about half an hour's walk further down. On this tour you see the current departure. Nice ride where you can see Mount Vioz and Cevedale, nice black lake and Caraser lake. The passage on the dam is allowed until the end of September.
Tour of the lakes and stop at the Larcher refuge... Show ❤️ Trentino Val di Sole
What can I say, the G. Larcher al Cevedale refuge is fascinating, perched on a rock spur, surrounded by a lunar landscape and a view that sweeps over the surrounding glaciers and peaks. The place exudes Mountain and awe...like the pouring rain we watched from the windows (stuck pleasantly for a couple of hours at the retreat). The Larcher can be reached directly from Malga Mare, or (as we did) by taking a longer and more demanding tour that allows you to see more lakes. Among these is Lake Ceraser, which despite being artificial, deserves for its colors and context. ATTENTION: The road to Malga Mare is closed to traffic about 2km from the car park due to a landslide. It is therefore necessary to walk about 2/3km for a difference in altitude of 250m, just to reach the usual starting point of the routes.
From the car park (rate 5 euros), go up into the valley along a path full of panoramic points of interest and reach the Larcher - Cevedale refuge. From the refuge, continue at high altitude to see the Marmotte and Careser lakes.
Thanks to the beautiful sunny day, it was a fantastic hike. Wonderful places, definitely worth seeing. In the summer, they close access to the starting point, so you have to park a little further down the road, so you'll need to factor in some extra walking.
A splendid day, clear skies, and a backdrop of spectacular peaks, Cevedale above all... after climbing to Larcher, we decided to take a circular route back from the lakes... at Malga Mare, a just reward with two delicious desserts... the mountains... never disappoint...
