This circular route is the easiest hike in the Gschnitztaler Hüttenstern. You climb up to the Trunahütte on beautiful forest paths, which awaits you with a fantastic view.
As a large part of the route runs through the forest, the tour is pleasant to walk even on hot days. Now and then the trees open up and reveal a wonderful view of the mountains. On the way up you can make a detour to the bubbling Truna waterfall.
If you want to extend the hike, we recommend the climb to the Eggerjoch, from which you have a breathtaking view. From there you can walk a loop over the Lichtsee back to the Trunahütte. High above the Lichtsee rises the Trunajoch, a possible summit goal from the Trunahütte.
