In autumnal weather we drove from Ginsheim along the Rhine to the Kornsand ferry where we crossed to Nierstein. After a break we continued along the Rhine via Mainz-Laubenheim back to the starting point.
Unfortunately, no sun, but dry! 👍🏼 Route south of Mainz toward Nierstein, not so attractive due to industrial activity.
Great varied round - first along the dike past meadows and fields, later back through the vineyards - lots of nature and if you want also the opportunity to take a break, stroll through the city...
We started from the car park at the Natorampe in Laubenheim, we cross the Rhine on the A60 to Ginsheim and follow the R6 cycle path past the ship mill through the Hessenaue to Kornsand with the Rhine ferry, we cross the Rhine to Nierstein and follow the Rhine cycle path on the Roter Hang We follow the Rhine Cycle Path back to the Natorampe, past Neckheim
A nice bike tour right along the Rhine, over the railway bridge in the direction of Nierstein over the vineyards to Oppenheim. to the dog beach. and again with the ferry across the Rhine. in the rain unfortunately. nice tour greeting
Today I went back to the Rhine (Main) along the river – on the Old Rhine – and to the ferry to Kornsand. The crossing was very easy, and I was back in the autumnal landscape. The tour was flat, hence the "high" average speed. Very relaxing and "barrier-free" – temperature from start to finish +15°C -:)
Beautiful tour left and right of the Rhine. From Riesling to Äppler, everything is there. By bike legally over the autobahn bridge, a peninsula and then 2 more trips on the ferry ⛴
