Hiking

There is hardly anything more relaxing than an extensive hike along a long, white sandy beach with the sound of the sea in your ears. Huntington Beach State Park on the Atlantic coast, half an hour south of Myrtle Beach, is perfect for this.

From the parking lot, it is only a few steps to the wide beach, which has remained untouched by human intervention thanks to the protection of the state park. With the low-vegetated dunes to your left, the guaranteed recurring waves to your right and the warming sun above you, you set off on your hike.

Since the loungers and parasols of the more leisurely beachgoers are concentrated in the first few meters, you can enjoy the beach walk to the jetty "The Jetty" in complete peace and quiet. Once there, you have the option of walking out into the sea on the asphalt path to the tip. This way you can look back at the light blue water, the white beach and the green dune and bush backdrop of the state park, while fishing boats chug past you through the artificial estuary.
