Great tour for kids https://www.baumberge-touristik.de/wandern-1/%C3%B6rtliche-rundwege/darup/ Be sure to also buy the stories/grid book for €5.
Haus Darup - manor house with outbuildings Haus Darup was first mentioned in documents around 1300 and had numerous noble previous owners up until the 20th century. The manor house was converted from a defensive tower into a representative noble residence in the 17th and 18th centuries. The first district administration of the newly founded Coesfeld district was located here from 1816 to 1819. Julius von Bönninghausen had the U-shaped farm built between 1910 and 1920. The property changed owners in 1920 and 1938 and has been a listed building since 1986. Hollow road The stagecoaches used to rumble from Coesfeld to Münster along the narrow, steep and winding paths (hence the name 😉 ). Almost forgot... it was freezing cold 🥶, but nice... felt like -4 degrees!!!
Instead of climbing on the Osnabrücker Wand, which is only accessible from the end of May this year, which unfortunately you only find out on site, a round through the Westphalian lowlands 😂
The longest and last part of my lap brutally dismembered by Komoot 😭😭. Here it was very rural at many farms along partly really muddy dirt roads. We encountered some friendly animals who all seemed happy to see someone. - A big mystery was for us - from a distance - picture 6. From a distance we guess Tiny Houses. We were still discussing whether we could live like this... To then see, they are huge, chic henhouses. So at least for the 🐔 they are huge. So we better not move in there 😬😝 Then we went back down to Darup with views, a pretty little town where we were greeted by everyone without exception. That was really nice. Overall, according to the man's clock, 6.2 km.
The hike already exists. Due to the construction site near Daruper Berg, we've modified it slightly. On the path from the forest chapel toward Darup, we opted for a slightly more adventurous version above the ravine. The starting point is ideal. You can get delicious coffee and cake there upon your return (if the café is open).
