The Triftsteig – over the wild waters of the Saalach

Thanks to the great collections from @Salzburger Saalachtal we came across this great circular hike along the wild Saalach. First we went directly down along the roaring river, from the Teufelssteg to the Teufelsschlucht, on beautiful paths and footbridges. 💧🌳 Halfway along the route we go up on the other side of the river, through forest and meadows, with a great view of the Loferer Steinberge. 🌳🌿🏔 Super varied and beautiful mandatory hike in the Saalachtal!🤩 PS: My collection for vacation in the Salzburg Saalachtal: https://www.komoot.com/de-de/collection/2680422/-salzburger-saalachtal-lofer

The Saalach is a picturesque river flowing through the impressive Alpine landscape and forming the border between Austria and Germany. In the region around Lofer, a charming town in the Salzburg Alps, the Saalach reveals itself in all its beautiful beauty. This beautiful hike leads over the Triftsteig through the Teufelsschlucht along the Saalach to the Auerbrücke. Then the path leads slightly uphill in serpentines past a few hiking golf stations via Bairau to the Teufelssteg back to Lofer. Sturdy shoes are definitely advisable here.

I started my round at 6 a.m. this morning in Lofer in Salzburger Land.🇦🇹 Must say it was one of my most beautiful tours!!!👍👍👍 Only pure nature..... From the Teufelssteg, through the Teufelsschlucht and partly through the forest. Most of the time I had a view of the Loferer Steinberge. It was wonderful! We have such a beautiful nature!🍀🍀🍀🌞🌞🌞 There was also a free history lesson.😉 Ps.: the slipped wooden bridge was not locked. But if she can stand me, then it's fine. 😂

First day of vacation :) Stopover in Lofer with a great tour along the Saalach. I think you can stay longer in Lofer.
