The Sonian Forest, a huge remnant of an ancient forest, is the backdrop for today. It is part of National Parc Forests of Brabant. We cycle over the gravel, between stately beeches. We take a trip to Tervuren Park, pop into AfricaMuseum and get acquainted with the Grape region.

The bikes on the bike rack and to Vossem. We parked in the parking lot at the old town hall in the Dorpsstraat. Here we pick up at bike junction 45 on the Zoniënroute of Toerisme Vlaams Brabant (https://www.toerismevlaamsbrabant.be/producten/fietsen/fietsproducten/zonienroute/index.html). The route via bike junctions takes us through Duisbrug, Eizer, Overijse, Hoeilaart, the Zoniënwoud, Jezus-Eik and Tervuren back to Vossem. A very pleasant route with some small hills, quiet roads, nice forest paths and lots of shade. And that was a bonus considering the very warm weather today. There was a flea market in Duisburg and so we walked around the market for a while.
