Buchenegg panoramic round tour

This almost 39 kilometer long circular tour in the southwest of Zurich starts in the middle of the urban jungle at Wiedikon train station. It's hard to imagine that soon, after a few drops of sweat, you'll be enjoying fabulous views and relaxing peace.

First you drive along the Sihl on Switzerland Mobil Route 32 and change to Route 84 at Sihlhölzli. You follow this through the city and beyond to Birmensdorf. From there continue on Route 51 to the junction to Buchenegg. There the short but sharp climb to the viewpoint on the back of the green Uetliberg awaits. The additional meters of altitude further up to Felsenegg are also worth it. The view is breathtaking, especially in the early morning or in the evening light.

After your energy level has reached new heights after the rest at Felsenegg, there is one last highlight on the program with the descent towards Brunau. But be careful, the curves are sometimes narrow and the gravelly surface can be slippery. Light gravel tires with good rolling properties are perfect here.
