Collecting altitude in the Franconian Jura: That is the motto of this tour. Torment your way up numerous steep ramps, gain almost 1200 meters in altitude, and feel the adrenaline on the rapid descents.

There are also idyllic landscapes, cute villages and quiet streets with little traffic. Overall, a round…

Trail Reviews

Jan Cello
August 4, 2024, RR Obermainjura mit Hauptziel Metzger-Bräu in Uetzing

When it rained and thundered early this morning, I was glad that I could turn around as a fair-weather cyclist and spend another lovely day on holiday around midday. Give the racing bike another chance, visit the Metzger Bräu in Uetzing and then sweat out the last of my brain cells in the Obermaintherme - that was my plan. A really lovely ride through small, quiet streets and well-kept villages. The Kleinziegenfelder valley is certainly one of the most beautiful areas that still needs to be discovered! Thirst made me put pressure on the pedals again to make the last climb up one of the many windy heights - and what can I say? A great beer, tart and fresh, paired with the best butcher's art, which you can also take home from the small shop. There was also a fair in the village, there was a lot going on in the village center, live music, small rides like 50 years ago, lots of pubs and the whole village plus the surrounding Communities on their feet.At least the world on a small scale is in order here! This is how I enjoy racing cycling🌻
