This route was planned by komoot.
We start on the driveway to the village of Bordeira. We will only take a short tour here later. Just behind the main road, we head out into nature on a gravel path. We walk around the hills and start the first small climb. After a short time, we have great views of a valley and the anticipation of the views of the sea and the cliffs increases. But first we have to conquer a few hills. As soon as the sea appears in the distance, you can hear the surf hitting the cliffs with force. Now the hike along the cliffs starts with spectacular views. The ground here, like on many sections of the Algarve, is very sandy and therefore more strenuous than expected. Here, too, we were glad at the end that we had planned "only" 13 km. But the views quickly make you forget that. After a few kilometers, we come back onto gravel and are glad to have made this great hike. We also recommend a little detour into the town. Here you can stop off at a restaurant and talk about the impressions you have had.
A pleasant hike on mostly flat, very well marked paths. 5km of sandy paths are a little more difficult to walk, 2 inclines are not very strenuous.
