Yesterday we were incredibly lucky 🍀 to go on a breathtaking hike 🚶♂️🌲 in the Bieszczady Mountains 🏔️, straight to the Nest of Tarnica. The route, no less than 20 kilometers long, took us through beautiful, almost untouched nature 🍃, deep in southeastern Poland, not far from the Ukrainian border 🇺🇦. This region, known for its picturesque Połoninas - mountainous meadows 🌼, which can only be reached on foot, offered us unforgettable panoramas. The weather was simply perfect 🌞, bright sunshine accompanied us all day, making the landscapes even more impressive and the experience even more magical ✨. But it wasn't all sunshine; the wind 🌬️ was tough. The stormy gusts posed a real challenge, especially at higher altitudes, and demanded everything from us. Despite the physical exertion that pushed me to my limits in the end 😓, the beauty and tranquility of the Bieszczady Mountains was simply overwhelming 🌄. The diverse fauna, including brown bears 🐻, wolves 🐺, lynxes and not forgetting the majestic bison 🦬, made this tour an unforgettable nature experience. For hikers looking for a route with breathtaking scenery, the Nest of Tarnica in an absolute must in the Bieszczady Mountains 🥾. The tour may not be a walk in the park, but the breathtaking views and untouched nature make every step worth it 🌟.
The mountain tour to Tarnica had actually been planned a few days ago. But the weather thwarted my plans. Sunshine was finally forecast. So I started the long tour at seven in the morning and was standing on the highest peak of the Bieszczady Mountains on the Polish side at 8.30 a.m. At this time on a Friday, I was the only one on the popular excursion mountain. After breakfast with a Polish snack, I hiked over more peaks with breathtaking views to the Tatra Mountains. The descent was pleasant and after about 20 kilometers I reached the starting point again.
