Perche has several monuments and dynamic towns, but if we had to define the region, we would mainly talk about its small villages and manor houses. Nocé, where this loop starts from, bears witness to this rural face with its population of less than 1,000 inhabitants.
Over the first ten kilometers, you discover the Perche through the farms that line the country roads. You let yourself be carried along by the descent which leads near the bed of the Huisne, to Saint-Maurice-sur-Huisne precisely.
You cross two charming little villages, Courcerault and Mauves-sur-Huisne, then extricate yourself from the valley with the strength of your legs. In Saint-Jean-de-la-Forêt, you dominate the surroundings for your greatest pleasure.
It is then that the architecture takes you on a journey into the region’s glorious past. You pass by the Château de l'Hermitière, then by the manor of Angenardière, that of Grand-Saint-Quentin and that of Lormarin, shortly before your return to Nocé.
