Today's tour takes us from Rougemont, Canton of Vaud to Saanen, Canton of Bern. The same breathtaking landscape but very different culture. While nobody in Vaud speaks German (or at least signals that they can't 😂), nobody in Saanen speaks French. But nobody says hello either, which is the norm in Vaud. Nobody passes us without a bonjour and a smile. The route is beautiful. First high above the river, then back along the banks of the Saane. We also pass the airfield where the rich and beautiful fly in and out from nearby Gstaad.
