A wonderful change between forest and panoramic paths near Holzfeld awaits you on the eleven-kilometer-long Rheingold dream loop. Either you start at the Patelsbach hiking car park or alternatively at the Hirzenach train station. Starting from the parking lot, you initially hike to Holzfeld and then reach the first viewpoints high above the Rhine Valley via orchards.

In the forest you cross two picturesque stream valleys and then you reach Ploweslay. This is followed by the climb to the plateau with the so-called Edgar Reitz view: your gaze wanders over colorful flower meadows down to the meandering Rhine. After another two kilometers you are back at the starting point.
