The wonderful Elfenlay dream loop near Boppard offers you eleven kilometers of forest and views. You start at the valley station of the Vierseenblicklift or alternatively at the nearby train station. You climb straight up to Elfenlay with its many spectacular viewpoints - you can't get enough of it. Then you cross the tracks of the Hunsrückbahn to follow the Kronprinzenpfad along the Mühltalbach.

You then zigzag up to the viewing points at the Talberg tunnel. These offer you a good view of the Hunsrückbahn below you. On the following climb to the Liesenfeldshütte you can look forward to a spectacular view of the Hubertus Viaduct. From the wooded height you then reach the Sabelskopf rest area. After a break high above the Rhine, you cover the last few meters of your hike in the forest and come back to Boppard.
