This route was planned by komoot.
Puddles of water and thick hedges can make the path difficult
The dunes near Cocksdorp are called the Eierlandse dunes. These dunes are very popular with bird watchers.
https://www.relive.cc/view/vDqgMr9WpVO Wonderful dune and beach walk on Texel. From the Krimweg and Landal Sluftervallei we hike through and around the Eierlandse Duinen. The route goes past the lighthouse, through the dunes and then back across the beach. On Texel, there is simply no getting around Cape Noord. This place is kinda magical and an absolute must see... "The Eierland lighthouse is located at the northernmost point of the island of Texel. From the tower, about 45 meters above sea level, you have a beautiful view over Texel and the Wadden Sea. "
Tomorrow we're going home and since the weather is supposed to be really bad tomorrow, this will probably be our final Texel tour. It's a shame that the time is up again! We had a brilliant week with the best October weather and nice visitors So today we visited the Texel lighthouse again. This is open to the public via an online ticket at a price of €5.50 p We went to Cape Noord and from there along small trails through the dunes. Although we didn't deviate from the planned tour, in the end it was 2 km more and it was slowly getting dark when we got to the car. But that's what the lighthouse was in action See you soon Texel 👋
The probably nicer way is in the breeding season from March 1st. until 1.8. Unfortunately closed. But this alternative is also quite nice.
