Nice walk 🚶♀️one part was steep and loose gravel 🥾🌋nice challenge 🌞💃🏻
🥾walked on November 13. Beautiful walk from Los Quemados in the direction of the San Antonio volcano 🌋 with beautiful views of the west coast of the island. The route has a steep climb after which you arrive at the mountain at the entrance to the visitor center of the San Antonio volcano, where explanations are given about volcanism and where you can walk along the crater of the volcano. Here you have beautiful views of the surroundings and in the crater. Entrance is 8 Euro. Return via a descending route along the mountain to get back on the path to Los Quemados. Be sure to take a look at Los Quemados with its beautiful 🌺 flower gardens and view over the sea! 🌺😍🥾
Difficult tour up the saddle. It is very steep and slippery there! Do not attempt it in rainy weather.
The last section was quite steep and partially even closed. You might not necessarily want to climb up here ;)
From the lowest point the route goes steeply/straight up through loose lava sand. The route indicates to go left up the mountain. This is not possible and there is no path, in fact it is even forbidden. You have to continue there and then the path winds normally up. That makes the walk easy.
