The Rosandepad with a twist. The starting point was the Rosandepad, but with some small detours and the commemoration/celebration of the Battle of Arnhem - 80 years of Airborn - it was a special walk. Although we started from a P, we actually started from the terrace of Grand Café Schoonoord. There we got into conversation with a Canadian parachutist and an English marine. Both friends and had been to Oosterbeek many times to celebrate the liberation. The last time was 15 years ago; the Canadian's liver also needed that time to recover, he claimed 😆 We also spoke to a walker who drank Cornet beers of 8% and still had 10 km to go...👌🏼🫣 Anyway: after that we left and enjoyed the hilly terrain; the beautiful deciduous forests; but also with the sound of dozens of low-flying 4-engine, propeller-driven aircraft. Today it was just part of it. When we crossed towards the former castle Rosande, a procession of army vehicles just passed by..
A beautiful and varied clog path. Through estates around Oosterbeek with many beautiful beech and oak avenues. And of course a bit through the Groene Bedstee. Continue through the floodplains of the Lower Rhine where it is now very muddy. And finally through the area of the Hemelse Berg with waterfalls and small streams.
Today's a lovely loop from Oosterbeek/Arnhem. A pleasant and scenic walk. Woods, meadows, and streams with waterfalls. You'll also come across war memorials and graves.
Great walk with a small detour for a coffee stop at Hoeve Klein Mariëndaal (tea room). Temperature just below zero, white frozen nature and a bit muddy due to the thick (river) clay. Wonderfully varied paths. Really one of the most beautiful clog paths we have walked so far. We will definitely explore it again every season.
Very nice and varied round, I can recommend it for hiking 😎👍🏻
Very nice and varied clog path. With a campsite as a resting place.
Beautiful and varied route! Enjoy 14km. Walked with my daughter.
A very beautiful and varied route around Oosterbeek, which I'm happy to share with you. Who knows what the future holds for komoot... https://www.mactechnews.de/news/article/Tourenplaner-Komoot-wechselt-zu-einschlaegig-bekanntem-Besitzer-186861.html
