Nice circular hike, although you can skip the detour to Pian del Sole if you don't want to drink anything. The fort is great, with an interesting exhibition. Unfortunately, Bardonecchia only has a very small old town. The last stretch of the path on the Strada Paradiso was the most beautiful part, as the high path offers great views of the town and the valley.
