From the Leoganger cable cars valley station, follow the cycle path which leads gently uphill towards Hochfilzen. From there, you will continue to the Gasthof Eiserne Hand and over the Burgeralm to the Spielberghaus. The descent follows along a forest path to Saalbach. Enduro lovers can also follow the "Höllen Trail" down to the bottom.
UP IT GOES WITH THE GONDOLA! With the help of the Kohlmais cable car (Saalfelden Leogang Card required), you can easily reach the mountain station where you can then join the Big 5 Trail to the Wildenkar hut. If you're super sporty and can't get enough of climbing, you can of course also cycle instead, as you can see from the indicated route.
To return to Leogang, you will pass the Schönleitenhütte and follow the Asitz Trail. You can then follow the newly built Steinberg Line by FOX all the way down into the valley. Alternatively, you can head back via the forest road.
TIP: Elbow and knee protectors are recommended for the descent from Asitz!

I mastered this tour today (end of October) ... but deviated a little. The route goes well with and without support - the incline tends to be steeper at the beginning ... then it gets better. You can take the root trail but also the panorama trail above towards Asitz. The root trail is for experienced technicians ... sometimes very slippery. At the asitz, the beer is also very tasty and then you go down via various options on trails ... but you can also take the gravel road down for those who are not trail-loving. What is always worth doing is lunch at Mama Thresl. Return via the Spielberg is also easy to do, with or without electronic assistance.
The fading cold and the fine autumn weather drew me outside on my bike. From Mitterwarming, towards Fieberbrunn, past the Burgeralm. Leave the Spielberghaus on the right. Continue on the Panorama Alm loop. Over the Kohlmaiskopf, shortly after that the entrance to the Eiserne Hand Trail extreme begins. This trail later becomes the Root Trail. It deserves this name, it is not a too difficult root carpet trail, but it requires basic speed to master the sections. It now continues up to the Asitzbräu, the highest point of the tour. For the descent I chose the Hang Man Trail. It feels like 250 berms later you are down in Rain. Despite the many bikers who visit Leogang all year round and the late bike season, the trails are well-maintained. Over the Buchenstein Wand loop, cycle path it goes back to Mitterwarming.
...nice, partly trail-like round with great views and a long bike park descent to Leogang - thank you @Alfons for the driving service and @Fritz for the drinks service...
I started a short tour today. On the way back, I tested out the new Thurner Line; it was really nice. After that, I rode the Panorama and Monti Trails. After that, I called it a day because the heat was really getting to me. Still, a beautiful day 🌤😊
So today a bigger tour with Reini, Martin, Babsi and Petra. From Saalbach and before Leogang then always right up to the Forsthofalm. And because it goes so well uphill 😅 straight on up to the Asitz Bräu🤩😍💪. That was already a few HM, so stop for food 😋 Then a snapper up to the summit cross of Gr. Asitz🥰. We went down via the Panorama Alm and then the Panorama Trail all the way down🤩🥳. It was a MEGA DAY😍. Weather🔝 Tour🔝 HM🔝 Biggest respect to Petra and Martin who did everything with the organic bike💪👌😍👏🙇♀️ Babsi Hats off.😇.brutally strong performance👌👏🤩. I was also very happy with me and my old bike☺️.
With the gondola Steinbergbahn it went to the great Asitz (4.2 km gondola ride must be deducted from the total km) and then to the Schönleitenhütte with a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. Unfortunately, the Grossglockner was not to be seen today - we have already had it there several times. Then several times downhill and uphill to the Panoramaalm under the Kohlmaisgipfelbahn on the Saalbacher side and from there a long descent to just before Hochfilzen. From Hochfilzen only asphalt to the Steinbergbahn valley station. We have already ridden this tour 5 times - it is always a nice tour💪
Today the weather was a bit worse than yesterday but we just did a little panoramic tour - the only thing missing was the panorama!🤔☝️🙄
