This is a 3 h roundtour to Monte Covreto with magnificent panoramic views over Lago Maggiore and the surrounding mountains. On a clear day Monviso at +200 km distance can be seen. We hiked clockwise. We recommend to hike counterclockwise, so you don't have to turn around for the good views.

Second outing of the CAI intersectional school, starting from the Forcora pass. Outing focused on orientation and cartography, with an injection of flora/weather/trail notions. Packed lunch on the summit of Covreto (still snow-covered) and then descent from Pian Rogna to close the loop.
