Low-threshold Utrecht routes - Stately avenues and water-rich views at Henschotermeer

Welcome to this accessible walk of 3.2 kilometers along the Henschotermeer. Whether you are a seasoned hiker or just looking for a relaxing hike in nature, this route is suitable for all levels.

You start your walk through a beautiful green avenue. On both sides of the path there are stately trees that form a majestic tunnel. While you walk here, you can enjoy the peace and green views around you. It's a perfect way to start the walk.

You will soon arrive at the Henschotermeer. This beautiful recreational area is a gem all year round. In summer you can cool off here and enjoy a relaxing swim. But even in the cooler months, the Henschotermeer has a lot to offer as a great walking area. In winter, when conditions permit, you can even go ice skating here. During your walk, the vast water is never far away. So put on your walking shoes and explore everything this wonderful area has to offer!

How do you get there? There is plenty of parking at the Boog, next to the starting point. Or you can walk to the starting point from De Heygraeff bus stop in a few minutes.
