A small part of the route runs through Germany, but most of it is in the Netherlands. Cultural and natural areas are equally influential here. The Kasteel Daelenbroeck, which dates back to 1311, and the wonderful quarry forest with its wild water landscape are real highlights.

Hello, this tour is really recommended, beautiful nature, great paths and easy for everyone to do. There is of course a video...... https://youtu.be/PZD9p6a1T1I Greetings from Michael
After thoroughly enjoying our Water.Hiking.World tour last week, we immediately added another premium tour from the list. This tour is also highly recommended; it follows more natural paths than the one along the Meuse River. All the paths are easily walkable, and there are no major challenges. For us, it was another pleasant and relatively local tour, which we enjoyed in perfect hiking weather and temperatures around 3°C. https://www.wa-wa-we.eu/de/wanderwege-details/rode-beek.html https://www.wanderinstitut.de/premiumwege/nordrhein-westfalen/rode-beek/ https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rur https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rothenbach_(Rur)
Varied hike through the Dutch national park de Meinweg. Many forest paths, as well as swampy sections and romantic paths along streams and rivers lead us past Kasteel Daelenbroeck and the Gitstappermolen. This premium trail Rode Beek of the Wasser.Wander.Welt had a lot of water today and the route along the Roer was flooded. Only recommended in dry weather.
Today my second walk from the Collection Water.Wandel.Wereld. It is a beautiful route in the area that I know well. The trees have less and less leaves, the colors slowly disappear from the picture🍁. Today the sun showed itself regularly, which I appreciate even more now in November.
Hike along Roode Beek and Rur, with a stop at Kasteel Daelenbroeck.
Number 9 of 9 and thus the end of the water hiking world. As the last premium hiking trail, I walked the "Rode Beek" trail today with animal companions. The weather was beautiful and autumnal and showed itself from its best side. I particularly enjoyed the hikes in autumn. The hiking trails are worth a break at any time of year.
So many highlights: From the Gitstapper Mill, the route first led to EffelderWaldsee. Along the Rothenbach and the Rur, the wonderful path led to Daelenbroeck Castle. Through the NSG De Turfkoelen (a heath moor), and through meadows and forests, we finally reached the "Gitstapper Mill" again.
