This cross-border circular route leads along the Schwalm River. The very varied tour meanders past wet meadows, juniper heaths and many different bodies of water with a rich birdlife. The observation tower with its 360-degree view is worth a detour.

The round is very varied and just great. We walked it the other way the first time and this time we decided to go left. It's always amazing what makes a difference when you just change the direction of a usual lap
#Herz-Projekt 💚 26 Today the conclusion. I hand over to: https://www.komoot.com/de-de/tour/2911834036
Before embarking on a "slightly longer" year-end hike next Tuesday, I went on a final family hike of 2025 today in the Schwalmbruch region. It's definitely my favorite hike on https://www.wa-wa-we.eu/de/wanderwege.html. It's perfect for any season. Here's the full description: https://www.wa-wa-we.eu/de/wanderwege-details/schwalmbruch.html More hikes are also available in my collection: https://www.komoot.com/de-de/collection/1382888/-wasser-wander-welt Sorry for all the sunny photos, but the light was just too tempting to capture... Have a great last few days of 2025. Best regards, #markusSupertramp
Today we hiked the premium hiking trail Schwalmbruch and I am very enthusiastic. Such a nice tour!!! Juniper heathland, along river banks, past ponds with croaking frogs, through the forest, walking under avenues of trees....in many places you could cool off your feet in the cool water, watch birds and beavers. We crossed the Dutch border twice and the forest on the neighbors' side actually seemed a little wilder and more natural to us. Conclusion: Definitely recommended!
On Saturday my sister and I did the beautiful premium hike Schwalmbruch in the German/Dutch border area. From the Tackenbenden car park, we first went through the NSG Elmpter Bruch with wet meadows, small lakes and the beautiful juniper heath. Then along the "German Schwalm" and into the NSG Diergardtscher Wald, where we crossed the border. In the Café de Bos, directly on the path, the hiker can strengthen himself. On the Dutch side, the Swalm is almost untouched. We always hike near the meandering little river and later through fields and meadows. Conclusion: a very varied tour on natural paths 😊🌳🌿🌺 Information on all premium routes at www.wa-wa-we.eu
a really nice tour in a wonderful area with great people and good conversations... and at the end I bought two six-packs of Leffe by chance... really delicious non-alcoholic Belgian beer without the purity law...
Today we tackled the first of 10 routes in the Water. Hiking. World. A very well-signposted, cross-border route with diverse vegetation. Most of it is shaded, making it ideal for hiking in summer conditions. It won't be the last route in the Schwalm-Nette region.

A very beautiful route. Varied landscape. Good footwear is necessary. It took me 3 hours and 21 minutes to complete the entire route.
