The Mookerheide is a historic location where an important battle took place during the 80 Years War. Here you can follow in the footsteps of those who fought in the past, while enjoying the beautiful nature around you. From the Mookerheide you also have a view over the Maas, Cuijk and the church with its two towers. An unforgettable picture of the Dutch landscape.

Along the way you will also come across something special: an almost completely horizontally grown oak tree on the Apostelweg. The walking path itself is an experience in itself!

How do you get to the starting point of the walk? The route starts next to the parking lot on Hendrik van Nassaulaan. If you come by public transport, you will have to walk a little further. You can get off at the Cuijksesteeg stop in Mook and then walk another 20 to 25 minutes to the starting point.
