(Polar recording) Gorgeous mid-March day on the Amalfi Coast. Excursion from Maiori to the Sanctuary of the Madonna dell'Avvocata. Early this morning @Aannunzi, @Libero Abele, @Roberto Marrapodi, Elisabetta and I, after having struggled to find a paid car park (on the coast it is almost impossible to find a free one), we crossed the characteristic historic center of Maiori and we took the "Path of the Madonna dell'Avvocata" which took us from sea level up to around 900m where the Sanctuary is. Varied path made up of dirt roads, many steps and with rather challenging passages. Along the way there are many "postcards" of the coast but not only: caves, ruins, cliffs, niches with Madonnas, small waterfalls. A truly beautiful route which, however, requires good physical shape if you want to tackle it without long stops. Once we arrived at the Sanctuary, the show was astonishing: the entire Gulf of Salerno before our eyes, with the beautiful colors of the sea, the mountains and the sky. Spring day: at 1pm the temperature was 20°, even though a rather cool wind was blowing at the top of the Sanctuary. Thanks to my adventure friends: @Aannunzi, Elisabetta, @Roberto Marrapodi, @Libero Abele. I hope that the photos help to tell Komoot's friends about the Amalfi Coast.
