Very muddy along badly eroded tracks and trails. Would need a prolonged dry spell to make this pleasant underfoot. The surrounding countryside is a fine example of everything that's wrong with upland land management!

Day 5 - 496 Challenge. Managed to make this 16km with an extra trek through the forest after going round Stocks Reservoir. Path was a swamp in places on the way round and in the forest, great scenery though.
