Hiking
With its 1,510 meters of elevation gain and an ascent of the Grand Veymont which culminates at 2,341 meters above sea level, this loop is above all aimed at experienced hikers and hikers familiar with alpine hiking trails. You have to leave early if you want to accomplish this superb route during the day.
At the top, the view carries far and amazes with its beauty. It offers both a view of the Vercors plateau and ridges, but also of the ubiquitous Mont Aiguille.
Some parts of the path are made up of rocks and can be quite technical. Be careful. If you run out of water, you can fill your water bottles at the bachasson fountain.
This loop can be done in two stages by planning to bivouac at the Aiguillettes hut located halfway. In this case, plan in addition to the lunch picnic, something to eat for the evening.
