Perros-Guirec exudes the charm of a seaside resort. Next to the marina there are restaurants, boutiques, bars and all kinds of shops for tourist needs. Above the coastline there are chic hotels, villas and residences for the slightly heavier purse. From there we start today's hike, which first takes us along well-developed paths along the beautiful Côte de Granit rosé. Against the backdrop of the deep blue Atlantic and the colorfully blooming coastal landscape, huge, bizarrely nested boulders pile up into unbelievable formations. There are also a few German tourists here, which may also be due to the fact that a certain Dieter ("Didi") Hallervorden bought an island and castle in front of Ploumanac'h, which can be rented for a mere 15,000 euros per week. After Ploumanac'h, the now very natural path leads us into the enchanting valley of the Traouiero, which with its jungle-like ambience and the sometimes very demanding route forms a strong contrast to the previous granite coast (unfortunately the pictures are completely unsorted). I can unreservedly recommend this incredibly beautiful and varied hike. Here are Anette's recordings: www.komoot.de/tour/1114144742 and from Annebr: www.komoot.de/tour/1114146184
Beautiful round! Many thanks to @Anette for the template and the lovely collection on Brittany 😊👍👌
From Perros-Guirec we went along the pink granite coast, from Ploumanac'h through the Vallée des Grands Traouiero and back to Perros-Guirec. A highly recommended hike, which of course also attracts many other hikers.
The 300 million year old pink granite rocks at Ploumanac'h are always worth a visit. Of course, all visitors to Brittany know this and populate the wide paths between the bizarre rock formations on the stretch of coast. Like a sea of rocks, the granite formations extend over about 25 hectares and shine in the sun. What a contrast is the subsequent hike in the Vallée des Traouïéro. The narrow valley, about four kilometers long, is a very enchanted place. With its chaos of granite rocks, ferns, old trees and narrow paths, it is simply beautiful. However, the paths are quite muddy due to the rain of the last few days - which does not harm the hiking pleasure. Even a small accident is accompanied with good humor and laughter. It then goes back through the country, first through narrow hedgerow paths, past meadows and later through the "villa area" of Ploumanac'h. Overall it is a highly recommended hike.
