This route was planned by komoot.
Today there is no sea, but climbing the three highest mountains in Brittany: Roc'h Ruz, Roc' Trevezel and Roc'h Trédudon. All well over 300 meters above sea level! Even the Hagelberg can't keep up. And everything is embedded in a spectacular natural setting. As a reward, we treat ourselves to a tart with salad and a tasty pression in the charming STAL café in Plounéour-Ménez. A la vote! Here are the recordings of Anette: www.komoot.de/tour/1112203563 Kathrin: www.komoot.de/tour/1112203173 Annebr: www.komoot.de/tour/1112212553
It fit so well and that's why we meet Anette & Frank again with Anne & Eckhardt for a "walk in the square". Anette suggested the route. We start with a thick cloud cover, which only briefly rids itself of its watery load and ends in the sun on the 3 highest peaks in Brittany. We all really enjoyed the break at Café STAL in Plounéour-Ménez. Here are the tour descriptions Anette https://www.komoot.de/tour/1112203563 Frank https://www.komoot.de/tour/1112217859 Annebr https://www.komoot.de/tour/1112212553
Brittany is not only made up of the coast with the spectacular rock formations, the oyster parks and the constant movement of the Atlantic. Inland, in the Monts d'Arrée region, we find a magnificent landscape around the highest peaks of Brittany. Our small hiking group sets out to discover the area. The rugged mountain ridges, covered only with gorse and impenetrable bushes, are up to 385 meters high. The mountain ridges line up in a line and allow a great view of the surroundings - if fog and drizzle are not obscuring the view. What you then see is the classic Bocage landscape, which is still largely intact here, with the tunnel-like wall hedges, the Knicks and the green meadows. Some of the paths are very muddy due to the rain of the last few days, but they are always passable. Halfway along, in Plounéour-Ménez, we will find a very charming café where we will stop and taste the tarts. I give a big recommendation for this hike. The windswept ridges, the bocage scenery, the cafe are great. Le Circuit des Rochs Through ravines, heath and shrub landscapes, over ridges and rocks. Very varied hike in the interior of Brittany. The weather is also very varied: sun, rain and wind, everything included except snow!
Although the signs show the tour the other way around, I'm glad I did it that way. The first 4 km are mostly road-heavy, but it was really little traveled. After about 1 km the panorama starts, you would miss this beautiful picture completely if you did the tour the other way around. After a steeper but not difficult ascent you are at the highest point of the mountain range and have a great view. The way back then went over fields and forests back to the starting point. Nice tour and I was alone for the entire tour.
