Cavedine Gravel Experience

This Tour of 45 kilometers and about 1,000 meters in altitude takes you to discover the valleys of Cavedine and Sarca, starting and finishing in Arco.

You can reach Arco by car or by bike from the neighboring towns on comfortable cycle paths. From here you quickly gain altitude, among olive trees and holm oaks, close to some cliffs that have made this area famous for climbing.

Passing through the village of Braila, continue towards Drena and then enter Val di Cavedine, at the foot of Monte Bondone. On the crest, you pedal in the charm of the Path of sea urchins, which winds through majestic and centuries-old Drena chestnut trees. From here you go downhill towards the Sarca Valley, on the most demanding stretch of the Tour.

Don't miss the archaeological sites along the way, in particular the rock engravings of Pianaura and the Carega del Diaol on the hill above Cavedine.

The homonymous lake offers picturesque views and bright colours: slow down and take a break on its banks, before returning slightly downhill to Arco, on the Sarca and Marocche di Dro cycle path, with a fascinating history.
